Complete vibratory feeding systems for production automation ensure smooth feeding, orientation and preparation of parts for further processing. At Vibrofeed, we design tailored solutions based on the shape and material of the components, the required throughput and the method of integration into the production line. We combine individual components into a fully integrated system that helps reduce manual handling and ensures a steady supply of correctly oriented parts to assembly, inspection or production processes.
The system typically consists of a vibratory bowl feeder, a linear feeder and a bulk hopper, which provide a supply of parts, orient them and convey them to the pick-up position. Depending on the application, the system can be equipped with belt conveyors, escapement mechanisms, pneumatic components or an output station designed for part pick-up by a robot or handling device. We adapt both the design and the layout of the equipment to the available space, the required feeding height and the downstream equipment.
For more demanding applications, the equipment can incorporate a vision system for inspecting, evaluating and sorting parts. Depending on the selected camera, lighting and component characteristics, it is possible to check, for example, correct orientation, the presence of holes or other features, variations in shape or selected visible defects. Based on the inspection results, the system can release an accepted part to the next process, reject a non-conforming part or return an incorrectly oriented part for reorientation. Vision inspection therefore extends the capabilities of the feeding system by continuously evaluating parts before they enter the next operation.
The complete system can be equipped with PLC control and an electrical control cabinet to coordinate its individual sections. The control system processes signals from sensors and vision systems, operates the feeders and sorting mechanisms, and enables signal exchange with the production line’s supervisory control system. Fill-level and part-presence sensors help automatically regulate the supply of parts according to current production requirements.
For convenient operation, the equipment can be fitted with an HMI touchscreen control panel. Depending on the scope of the application, operators can adjust operating parameters, monitor equipment status and the number of processed and rejected parts, or view fault messages. For solutions designed to handle multiple component types, settings can also be stored as recipes to simplify production changeovers.
The entire system can be mounted on a common base plate or a standalone workbench and equipped with protective guards or sound-reducing enclosures. During the design process, we consider access for material replenishment, cleaning, maintenance and servicing to ensure the equipment is practical for everyday operation.
From simple feeding to a controlled system with vision inspection and automatic sorting – we tailor the scope of supply to your application. Send us a drawing or samples of your parts, the required throughput and the desired output orientation. We will propose a suitable vibratory feeding system configuration and prepare a quotation.
